EIFS

GPS boards are uniquely formulated to reflect radiant heat, dramatically boosting the material’s thermal resistance to achieve an R-value up to 20% higher than standard EPS at the same thickness. This superior efficiency allows architects and designers to specify a thinner insulation profile while meeting the most stringent energy codes, optimizing wall assembly design without sacrificing valuable space.

GPS boards are lightweight, dimensionally stable, and vapor-permeable, ensuring simple handling on the job site and supporting the crucial moisture management required for a durable, long-lasting, high-performance building envelope.

Details & Uses

GPS foam contains graphite particles that reflect heat, giving it a higher R-value per inch than standard EPS. Its thermal performance offers benefits when used in Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS):

  • Enhanced energy efficiency with R-values up to 5.0 per inch

  • Allows for thinner wall assemblies while meeting energy codes

  • Lightweight and easy to handle for reduced labor time and installation costs

  • Vapor-permeable to support crucial moisture management within the wall

  • Dimensionally stable to prevent gaps and cracking in the final system

  • Contributes to a more sustainable build with less required raw material

  • Excellent compatibility with typical EIFS adhesives and finishes

GPS EIFS Boards

Ideal for exterior wall insulation in EIFS systems, our GPS boards offer a premium option for energy-efficient wall assemblies. Boards are available in standard 24” x 48” sizes and can be bagged in increments of 18” for easy handling.

Board options include:

  • Custom thicknesses and densities

  • R-values from approx. 4.7–5.1 per inch

  • Poly or foil facers available

  • Compression strengths from 10–60 PSI

  • Durable and thermally stable in all climates

Architectural Shapes

Our GPS foam can be precision-cut into decorative accents such as arches, columns, cornices, or custom moldings. Designs are produced from CAD files or blueprints by our in-house fabrication team.

Perfect for:

  • Traditional and modern façade details

  • Lightweight, high-insulation design features

  • Custom one-off or high-volume production

Our Foam Products

Foam questions?

We've got answers.

Learn more about the applications for our foam products.

Our specialties are expanded polystyrene (EPS), expanded polypropylene (EPP), and graphite polystyrene (GPS), These products have many applications, and can be used in roofing, insulation, landscaping, stabilization, exterior siding, and more.

We do have the capability to customize our products to your specific needs. In addition, we offer custom packaging, either to ensure your product arrives damage-free, or for your own shipping and packaging needs.

Most of our applications can be made with multiple foam types, and we’ll guide you to choose the best one for your requirements. Here’s a list of what we manufacture:

  • Custom packaging: EPS or EPP
  • Insulated shipping containers: EPS or GPS
  • Precast: EPS or GPS
  • Garage doors and door cores: EPP, EPS, or GPS
  • Sheathing: EPS or GPS
  • EIFS: EPS or GPS
  • Geofoam: EPS
  • Roofing: EPS
  • OEM: EPP, EPS, or GPS

If multiple foam types are able to be used in your project, we’ll discuss the benefits of each product and decide together what will be the best choice for your project.

Many of our products can contribute to LEED points, depending on application and use.

GPS provides higher thermal resistance per inch than traditional EPS, improving the energy performance of EIFS walls.

Yes, GPS can be used in place of standard EPS in most EIFS systems without requiring major modifications.

Its graphite-enhanced structure reduces thermal conductivity, improving wall R-values and minimizing energy loss.

Yes, GPS retains the lightweight and easy-to-handle benefits of EPS, with added thermal performance.

Absolutely. GPS is well-suited for continuous insulation applications and can help meet stricter energy codes and green building standards.
